Matt Schaub tears up the Pro Bowl

hell yea buddy.

Schuab Pro Bowl MVP
When Pro Bowl selections were first announced, many Houston Texans fans felt that quarterback Matt Schaub had been snubbed. A few drop outs and changes later, and Matt Schaub walked away from the Pro Bowl last night with a victory for the AFC and an MVP award for himself.

When Pro Bowl selections were released, Schaub who lead the NFL in passing yards this past season, was listed as the first alternate at the quarterback position. Patriot Tom Brady dropped out citing injury, and Schaub took his spot joining fellow Texans Andre Johnson, DeMeco Ryans, and Mario Williams in the Pro Bowl. Another Texan selected, rookie Bryan Cushing, bowed out due to injury as well.

With the game tied 34 all in the fourth quarter, it was Schaub who returned to helm the AFC’s scoring drive which culminated with a two yard TD run by Titan running back, Chris Johnson.

The AFC wins 41 – 34, and Matt Schaub, who was not intended to start and who was not intended to play, threw for 189 yards, two TD’s and took home MVP honors in his Pro Bowl debut.
