9 characters you didn't know share the same voice
a good one below, rest after the jump.
The Top Nine Characters You Didn't Know Shared the Same Voice
Homer Simpson and Earthworm Jim
Dan Castellaneta is, of course, the voice of the most important animated fat guy of the last two decades, Homer Simpson (Peter Griffin can suck it). And though it's a role he's played for nearly twenty years, he's also kept busy doing guest spots on TV shows, making personal appearances...and voicing beloved video game character Earthworm Jim in his cartoon and TV show.

VIRTUAL BOY

Among the strangest pieces of hardware ever released, the Virtual Boy was another take of the Game Boy inventor, but was a flop in Japan and the USA. It contained goggles which gave a good 3D-picture, but was strange to play with its position on a table.

NBA Jam coming to Nintendo Wii!!!
HELL YESSSSS!!!!!!!
EA to announce return of 'NBA Jam'
When EA Sports community manager Alain Quinto tweeted back in December that EA execs were preparing to announce a new game, the rumors and speculation spiraled out of control. Was EA going to steal the WWE license from THQ? Is "MVP Baseball" coming back? Is a new sport like lacrosse finally going to break through with an NCAA-licensed game? To make it simple, no, no and no.
Instead, sources confirmed to ESPN that the new title is actually one of the all-time classics coming back to consoles as EA Sports has acquired the rights from the NBA to deliver an updated version of "NBA Jam" that will ship to retail exclusively for the Wii.
And considering that "Jam" was famous for including hidden characters like Bill Clinton and Will Smith, one has to wonder if EA is planning a hidden Obama character to deliver a presidential throwdown on King James.

Tuesday was XBOX Live's Busiest Day Ever
Xbox Live took a beating on Tuesday. One might surmise a major multiplayer game was released on Tuesday and people wanted to play it. Oh, right. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. As it turns out, the launch of Activision and Infinity Ward's shooter sent so many people online that it resulted in the biggest day ever for Xbox Live yet, with more than two million gamers playing simultaneously.
"Tuesday was the biggest day we've ever seen on Live," said Dennis Durkin, COO of Microsoft's interactive entertainment business during a financial presentation the BMO Capital Markets "Digital Entertainment Conference" in New York this afternoon.

i'm asking santa for one of these.
this is awesome! from doobybrain.com:
Game cartridges usually outlast the game consoles they go with, which means that some people end up having a lot of old games lying around without a system to play them on. If you’re one of those people with a heck of a lot of NES and SNES games, then the Retro Duo NES/SNES gaming system is probably what you want if you want to relive the days of 8-bit and 16-bit video games.
The Retro Duo NES/SNES system comes with two top-loading slots for NES and SNES games and two controllers that look like the original SNES game controllers. For less than $50, this looks like a pretty fun game accessory to own.
It comes in blue and white & black and red
each for $45.

nintendo patents football controller
oh man, i cant wait to see what madden is like with this baby. click the pic or the link to get the full story:
A recently revealed patent application reveals that Nintendo is working on a football controller for the Wii. It works like this: You snap your Wiimote into a squishy football, the attach it to your hand, and the Wii's accelerometers and gyroscopis motion sensors determine how you control the onscreen action. So if you want to throw a bullet, just make a bullet motion, etc.
The "ball" will also sense your body motion, so it will read a quick move to the side as a juke to avoid a tackler. There's a place for the Wiimote's brother, the control stick, as well, so other options can be executed during your Wii football game.
